"I have always felt that the photographer who started my passion for making images was Ansel Adams. I remember as a teenager (he was still alive then), going to see an exhibition of his work at the South Bank in London. Walking up the stairs into the exhibition, there was a very large, almost wall sized print, of Yosemite. I felt that I was walking into the park. I'm sure that if I had reached out and touch the picture, I would have felt the texture of the stone.
Roll on a few decades, and I found myself staring at the Church located just outside Taos in America. I'd seen this beautiful structure before when Adams took an image. To placate my inner desire to see what I could do, I produce the set below. It isn't plagiarism, it really is honest adoration for the man, his vision, and his skills and the fact that he made this photographer into this photographer!"
